Hey, hi everybody! I'm Poonam Mandke, and today I’d like to share a little story about how my journey in the health and food industry began and evolved into a thriving passion and career.
My connection with the health and wellness space started more than a decade ago. You see, cooking has always been a part of my life, but it wasn’t just about making meals for my family. It was about taking familiar ingredients and reimagining them into something innovative and exciting. Experimenting with food was fun, but it also had a deeper purpose—ensuring that I nourished myself and my loved ones with healthy, wholesome options.
The real turning point came after I got married and found myself juggling the demands of work and family life. Like many others, I took packed lunches to the office. But something happened that sparked a whole new idea. Around 4 p.m., I’d start getting hungry. You know how those late afternoon cravings kick in? And trust me, they can tempt you toward unhealthy snacks if you’re not prepared.
But for me, that just wasn’t an option. My work hours were long, and I knew that reaching for junk food wasn’t going to support the active and healthy lifestyle I wanted to maintain. So, I got creative. I started thinking about how I could make healthy food more accessible, even during my busiest days.
That's when the concept of making salads really took off for me. It wasn’t just your typical lettuce and dressing either. I took ordinary ingredients—things we all have in our kitchens—and played around with different combinations and styles. The result? Delicious, satisfying, and most importantly, nutritious salads that I could easily pack for work.
This idea, which I started experimenting with around 2012, slowly grew into something bigger. It wasn’t just about solving my own hunger pangs—it became something I wanted to share with others. I realized that if I could make healthy eating both convenient and tasty, it could be a game-changer for so many people.
So, what began as a personal solution to a common problem gradually turned into a full-fledged venture. My passion for health, food, and creativity merged in a way I had never anticipated, and I found myself creating recipes, guiding others, and building a business centered around healthy, innovative eating.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to meet and work with so many wonderful people who share the same goals—to lead healthier, more vibrant lives without compromising on flavor or convenience. And that's really what keeps me going every single day. Whether it’s teaching someone how to make a delicious salad or encouraging them to think outside the box with their meals, I’m driven by the idea that health can be fun, accessible, and deeply nourishing.
This journey has been about more than just food. It’s about creating a lifestyle where wellness is front and center—where we can be consistent with our healthy choices, enjoy what we eat, and fuel our bodies for the lives we want to live.
